BLRT, which is redeveloping the entire Noblessner quarter, aims to create an integrated and distinguished commercial, residential and recreational environment that values the unique historical heritage of the area and its picturesque seaside location. Nearby you’ll find the Seaplane Harbour and Kalamaja Park, and by the end of 2017 the area will also be home to the headquarters of the European IT Agency. Ship repair work in the factory that has stood here for so long will come to an end by the time the Staapli 4 residential and commercial building is completed. BLRT will also be demolishing its production building, completing the waterfront promenade and reconstructing the yacht club and the space around the Foundry. Access is currently from Tööstuse and Peetri streets, but a further access road will be constructed from Kalaranna Street. There will also be a path for pedestrians and cyclists that will be linked to the already partially completed light traffic underpass and promenade. Car parks (and later parking stations) will be constructed in order to ensure problem-free parking.
